I tried using their modem for WiFi and it kept slowing down to a crawl 3-4 times per day until I rebooted it each time. Other than that no complaints so far.Long story short, you CAN junk the pod and continue using your own router and equipment. Fidium uses PPPoE authentication. Call tech support and get request your credentials. Use a router that supports PPPoE (ubiquiti’s edge routers do) and create a new interface as your WAN using your credentials.
