The Carmel High School marching band scored 97.05 points to finish in second place in the Music for All's Bands of America Grand National Championships, held Nov. 11 to 13 at Lucas Oil Stadium. CHS finished behind Broken Arrow High School from Oklahoma and just ahead of Avon High School, the only other band from Indiana to make the finals.The band has also offered its talents for Walt Disney Productions and was featured, in 1988 and 1991, at the Bands of America Grand National Championships.
