Simplisafe keypad not working.

I just received my Simplisafe system and am trying to get it installed. I plugged in the base station and that turned on just fine. Turned on the keypad, but it will not connect to the base station. I've tried removing the batteries from both the keypad and the base station but it still will not connect.But the solution in this post DID work. I logged into the SimpliSafe website using my iPhone and Safari. (iPhone is running iOS 13.6.1). I was able to enter my PIN in the browser window. After closing the browser, I relaunched the SimpliSafe app and was able to bring up the keyboard and enter the PIN.When installing your Key Fob, it’s essential to follow these simple steps. When I did so, the bad station announced that some components were disabled (ie the keypad and the side door entry sensor). I waved my hand in front of the keypad, it lit up as expected and it displayed a message saying that it was not connected to the base station and that I should “press any key” to make it connect.It might help to do a reset of the Keypad, by sliding it off the mounting bracket, removing one battery, and reinserting.
