I have a 2013 JKU with 50K miles, engine seams to run hot, temp is around 220F, but at times when I open the hood, the hood prop is extremely hot to the touch and need a glove to use. I have a 2012 jeep jku sport, It runs hot only while driving, as soon as I park it and just let it idle it cooks down to around 208-215 and stays constant, while driving it has/will get as high as 245, but will fluctuate from 228-235. Will not tow 3500# boat trailer over Guadalupe Pass in NM; overheats and goes into limp mode. Changed out thermostat. Changed out single row radiator for two row radiator. No improvement. If you run without a thermostat it would not let the car get up to operating temperature for a long while.
