All the controls are in the right places, the grip fills the hand nicely and the little touches like an adjustable rear sight, beaver tail grip safety and super-smooth trigger elevate this gun from standard to exquisite. And then there is the idea of shooting it. Some people don't like the 10mm. I'm not one of them.Have about 500-600 rounds through it, never a problem. I had a Kimber Custom TLE/RL 10mm. Like the other Kimbers that I had, they were all decent 1911's. They are definitely better, out of the box, than any Colt Govt, Combat Commander, and Delta Elite 1911's that I have ever owned.
