In ‘14 I got a new 930m with a 60” deck and put a mulch kit on it. It was a really good mower, but when I bought it I really wanted a diesel and the only one available at that time was the 997. If its still using oil at 100 hours (due to babying machine and not running it hard) recommendation is to continue with break in oil for an additional 100 hours. For tough jobs it can’t hold a candle to the 997r. They are worlds apart in power, but worlds apart in price too. I get around 1.1 - 1.3 gallons per hour with the 997r.
